17) How much legal jeopardy is #DonaldTrump in?

The classified documents case will make use of a recording which indicates that #Trump had a highly sensitive document which he knew was NOT declassified.

The chain of evidence looks strong and while there is much news media spinning, a court of law is more rigorous environment where focus on fact is primary

20) As the #DeSantis campaign continues to flail and gain traction against #DonaldTrump, the Florida governor leans into a deeper hostility directed at the #LGBT community

There are no solutions being offered here, merely rage directed at a minority group. Just the #facist playbook being dusted off again

The joy of belonging to a group of like minded people who are facing down an imagined set of awful lefties determined to destroy America

@mnutty Isn’t that not what they call authoritarianism? 😱 To say the least.

@heideroosje

Yup, I’d say that plan falls squarely into the authoritarian category. The desire is to crest a Budapest on the Potomac

@mnutty Wasn’t Orban not at CPAC this year?
That man, and all he’s stands for, is a disgrace for the European Union.

He was at #CPAC last year in #Texas and this year the CPAC #Orban fan boys took themselves off to #Budapest to venerate their leader in his home country. Pathertic stuff

@mnutty god, how I hate that guy!

@heideroosje

I try to avoid hating. The people that subscribe to this kind of stuff are in my opinion broken, have suppressed that most important of human qualities: empathy. They have replaced it with anger and a belief that they are better than others. That’s a lonely place to be, but they don’t know any better

@mnutty There are not many people I hate, Martin, but sometimes if someone is that evil and so bad for his people, I can’t help myself. It’s a waisted emotion (if that’s correct English) I know. And I know how you think about that. 😉

@heideroosje

I totally get it and I don’t want you think I’m virtue signaling. I’m a work in progress like we all are and I find avoiding hate is good for me. I’m not immune to anger at all this awful #RightWing stuff, I’m just determined to combat this awful movement in my own small corner of the world

@mnutty Fair enough. I love Ireland and know a thing or two about the history. That you live in America must be hard in a way because Ireland is such a beautiful country with great music!

I will think about your words because you’re probably right. My English isn’t sufficient enough to express myself sometimes the way I want. It’s just English that I’ve learned in school. 🫣

@heideroosje

Heidi your English is vastly superior to any of my other languages, sadly including my native Gaelic which I'm working on improving

I do miss Ireland and Dublin where I grew. I'm fortunate to be able to travel there at least once a year so I get the chance to reconnect with family and friends

I count myself fortunate to live in one of the great cities of the world which is New York. It has its faws but I love it and it is home

@mnutty It sounds like the best of both worlds. And I sincerely hope that it will stay that way. 🙏🏻
@mnutty By the way, I’m so proud that I can correctly pronounce names as Dun Laoghaire, Taoiseach, Siobhan, Aoife and Sinead. 😊

@heideroosje

Here’s a hard one: Sadhbh - one of nieces. Card to take a stab? 😜

@mnutty Wow! Daar waag ik mij niet aan! 😁

@mnutty @heideroosje despite growing up in Ireland I was an adult before I encountered my first Sadhbh. You think you've heard all the Irish names, but there's always another one.

That said, if you paid even the slightest attention going through the Irish education system it's usually easy enough to have a stab at pronouncing Irish language names.

@IanMoore3000 @heideroosje

Yup. But those who did not grow on our island it is totally freaking mysterious. Until one dies a bit of basic reading
