Péter Magyar clashed with the Slovak government over the Beneš Decrees while still in opposition, but it was his use of the term “Felvidék” that drew the most criticism. Lawsuits have since been filed over this issue. Experts believe that Slovaks and Hungarians should finally understand each other’s grievances, and that politicians should stop fuelling tensions.
