One of my greatest fears from day 1 of the idea of Trump as president was him having access to the most top secret intel of the US. (Many others had this same fear.) Trump is a unique threat to the national security if the country. The many in the GOP who support this dangerous buffoon are despicable.

Of course he wants to be reelected in order to save himself from jail time. Easily predictable and also a threat to the rule of law.

could get dicey in Miami with that trump wench as judge. She has a real chance to redeem herself, but judging by her last outing w/trump, I doubt she will have learned her lesson. Frankly, her buffoonery is on the line. She can attempt to be a real judge or she can continue to show what a clown posse trump installed in his last few days as prez. I still remember the people arguing "he's a businessman so he knows about money!" And "you can't tell me how to vote, I'm an American!"

Irony: she was a Brit naturalised to American citizen and married to an American, and I wasn't telling her how to vote, I was saying that dump was a dangerous buffoon and not someone who should be leader of the chief economic and cultural influence of the world.

Funnily enough, she crawled back to my FB pages after dump lost 2020. I still have not addressed any of her replies. (But I answer other people in the threads. I'm petty like that.)

the 3/5 compromise DID NOT say that slaves were 3/5 of a person. it said that SLAVE OWNERS got more votes — each slave owner was 160% of a person, times how many slaves they owned.

the slaves themselves were not people, not even 3/5 people. they were only counters on the board.

I’m just disappointed that people to this day still say that the founding fathers only considered slaves to be 3/5 of a person. They totally did not. They did not consider slaves (or women, let’s be clear) to be persons at all. They just considered slave-owners to be super-persons.
