The difference between Scott Adams and Charles Schulz :

โ€œI believe that our greatest strength lies always in the protection of our smallest minorities.โ€

โ€” C. Schulz (1970)

@EgyptianAphorist Another difference is that Scott Adams 'Dilbert' was dull, repetitive and boring, representative of an incredibly narrow-minded outlook, while Charles Schulz's 'Peanuts' was innovative, brilliant, and often philosophically inspiring.
@Coolmccool Good points โœŒ๐Ÿผ
@Coolmccool @EgyptianAphorist
and that Scott Adams simply took the ideas to Dilbert from letter by readers.
@EgyptianAphorist little refresher about how awesome Schultz was possibly maybe worth hearing adams whine. Quality dude
@swoody It is refreshing when the person and the artist are principled. Hate is unfunny.
@EgyptianAphorist it stands out even more from 1970, brave stance at that time for a white person imo
@swoody Youโ€™re right to say so. Schulz was ahead of his time, Adams is behind hisโ€ฆ
@EgyptianAphorist @swoody hate is toxic.. greed ignorance and hate.. pure toxic

@kcsorenby @EgyptianAphorist @swoody Yes & this is NOT how I remember the #usa when I first arrived from Egypt as a teenage college student.

Back then, people could still have civil conversations without #race or #religion dominating the conversation.

As an African, immigrant & Muslim I would like to see this inclusive America again. Here is my #story :

@EgyptianAphorist @swoody read it. Thank you for sharing it on here. Thank you..โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ™

@EgyptianAphorist

Schultz added a black person to his comic to make him equal

Adams added a black person to his comic to mock him

@EgyptianAphorist

Dear Joel:

I think it is more difficult these days to define what makes a good citizen then it has ever been before. Certainly all any of us can do is follow our own conscience and retain faith in our democracy. Sometimes it is the very people who cry out the loudest in favor of getting back to what they call โ€˜American Virtuesโ€™ who lack this faith in our country. I believe that our greatest strength lies always in the protection of our smallest minorities.

Sincerely yours, Charles M. Schulz.

@EgyptianAphorist Good 'ole Snoopy โค๏ธ

@drrjv Thanks, for the tip. Good to know โœŒ๐Ÿผ
@EgyptianAphorist Yup, been there. Cool place to visit for sure! Highly recommended.
@EgyptianAphorist and that was more than 50 years ago!
@jeff7091 All the more impressive. This is the stuff legacies are made of (vs smeared reputation of Adams).
@EgyptianAphorist @burritojustice No surprise which one of them has a Bay Area airport named after them and which has whatever the opposite of that is.
@EgyptianAphorist
perfect.
Thanks for posting.

@pinkyjones My pleasure to share examples of people acting out of the courage of their noble convictions. Too many examples of bad behavior being overlooked, or worse, rewarded.

Heartening to see how many folks on #Mastodon / #Fediverse have positively responded!

#BlackHistoryMonth

@EgyptianAphorist What a lovely well expressed sentiment.
@Pineywoozle I agree and think there is a natural eloquence to possessing nobility of spirit โ€” so that when we speak of the good and the just, in turn, it is beautiful ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ
@EgyptianAphorist Yeah, itโ€™s like the words compose themselves within our souls and lose all awkwardness.
