This app lifts your moods. I found myself increasingly angry on the bird app. One can only take so much bombardment of trolls and cryptobots.

When Elon first bought it, my prediction was this:

If the population falls fast enough, it becomes a ghost town like Truth Social or Parler.

If the population falls slowly, then eventually it will be overrun with Nazis and pedophiles just like every Internet community that isn't sufficiently moderated. I remember the message board days, after all.

They're just a few pedophiles away from being 4Chan. Like I predicted.

I'd call myself "newish" to Mastodon: no long a total newbie, but definitely not a long-time user. It's great to see people mostly following my server's most memorable code of conduct rule, "Be excellent to each other."

By contrast, the Sick Bird is _Lord of the Flies_ on-line.
