For the #MedMastodon community - I'm sending out an e-mail now, unfortunately despite repeated attempts since the 5th Jan of this year we've been unable to get control of the domain from the original founder of the site. With that in mind and to ensure the site does not just fall off the internet without warning in the future, we're announcing the closure of med-mastodon.com and are asking all active and registered users to migrate to a new server as soon as it is practical to do so. We have a new GoToSocial server setup to allow for imports of historic posts as well as our existing Mastodon servers that folks are more than welcome to join (Details on the e-mail). We will keep the med-mastodon site running throughout March as a minimum and hopefully everyone will have migrated by this time but we will keep a close eye and if needed can renew the site for an additional month to facilitate migrations. Sorry for the rubbish news, there is not a whole lot more we can do :(
