there is a variety of news orgs coming to mastodon (e.g.: @BBC5Live) and many are already mirrored via (for example) press.coop (e.g.: @MotherJones),
and there are also good journalists here (e.g.: @timkmak, @w7voa )
I miss many individual voices, but for general #news coverage we are quite ok here - nevertheless, it will never have the exciting frantic hype of #twitanic’s best days …
