The GOP under Trump, in one paragraph of the J6 report

@qjurecic
Anyone who shows they knew it was wrong but did it anyway should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

They are mostly worse than those that thought it was the right thing to do, even if they were mistaken.

@qjurecic

Lemmings of middle management: "I hope the boss doesn't want us to leap off this cliff."

@qjurecic But they were scared of him. πŸ™ƒ

(Sarcasm was heavily used in the construction of this post)

@qjurecic It’s amazing to me that with so many people circling around this conspiracy that no one blew the whistle pre-Jan 6th. Simply astonishing.
@qjurecic Would you mind transcribing that as well, since none of the #visuallyimpaired or #blind people here on #Mastodon will be able to read that? I forget a lot, but I always try to include image descriptions. In this one, I see why you used the image, but a transcription would have been useful too.
@darthdzl ah, I'm sorryβ€”I thought I added an image description, but perhaps it didn't go through? I'll tweak it now. thank you for flagging!
@qjurecic "let him win for us, then we can change or redirect him from doing the really stupid stuff".... ie they think they can use him as a puppet. Get him to do the things they want to do but know is wrong, but can blame him for.
@qjurecic WIGOP in a nutshell, always the leader on the path to the ethical and moral corruption of the whole party. #Reince #ScottWalker #RobinVos
@qjurecic Hitt was sounding like a decent person ... until the last sentence. 😞
@qjurecic Because, naturally.
@qjurecic the day he lost his soul
@qjurecic "The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for slightly less evil men to play along."
@qjurecic what's fascinating to me is that these guys didn't want to do it. They knew it wasn't good and that it was going to fail. What did they get threatened with?
@qjurecic IMHO All those who participated in the fake elector scam are guilty of conspiracy to mount an insurrection.
@qjurecic I see you are new to the election delegate game. You do know that it is normal and common for different slates of electors to be selected in races where there are potential issues and both even be sent to DC when there legal challenges to the results, right? Perhaps take a look at Hawaii in the 1960 election.
@qjurecic I am a bit confused by the last line which seems to contradict the first. Was Hitt a real or fake elector?
@qjurecic the Milgard effect?
@qjurecic that should have been Milgram;my 'bad'.
@qjurecic Honestly the last sentence pretty well sums up the GOP.
@qjurecic ugh, and to think that people just keep voting for these morally ambiguous jerks.
