Hey y'all across the fediverse. I'm looking for a platform instance that is reliable and supports more than 500 character posts and post edits, I guess #pleroma, #friendica, #diaspora? I like friendica but the instances I've tried are suffering performance wise and are unusable.
Interested in anyone's thoughts on this who lives on one an instance on one of the above platforms. Trying not to try 20 different instances before finding one that works well.
The use of publicly accessible (but copyrighted) material for AI training wouldn't rankle so much if the same companies weren't so protective of IP in other arms of their enterprise. For ex. allowing spurious Content ID claims on youtube.
If we are going to usher in a new age of free use of intellectual property where ever we find it then it should apply to EVERYONE not just the multinational corporations.
