Musk appeared on a Twitter Spaces and described the social media company like this: "This company is like, basically, you're in a plane that is headed toward the ground at high speed with the engines on fire and the controls don't work."
@oliverdarcy
Isn't that partially because he fired the controls?
@daan @oliverdarcy Yeah, it's like he was an exploding engine that took out the control cables in the process...
@oliverdarcy more like "it's like a bus you hijacked, took for a joy ride and drove off a 4,000 foot cliff as the passengers scream trying to jump out before it impacts with a deep and toxic swamp"
@oliverdarcy Says the man who set the engines on fire and broke the controls 🙄
@MattCC716 @oliverdarcy
The findings of the accident inquiry will be "human error:
@MattCC716 @oliverdarcy It's not an understatement to say he also ruptured the fuel line from the wing tanks to the Number 3 Engine in the tail...
@MattCC716 @oliverdarcy
The findings of the accident inquiry will be "human error:
@oliverdarcy and now he's looking for a new pilot to take over to blame for the unavoidable crash. Looks like some things he learned at Tesla were transferable.
@oliverdarcy reminds me more of my 15 grandchildren being together and deciding that that the more noise and mess they make the better. Then again they clean up their mess and are usually capable of a certain amount of common sense.
@oliverdarcy Did he happen to mention that he was the guy who pointed the plane at the ground, lit the engines on fire, and locked the controls?
@oliverdarcy that man hopped into the cockpit and shat on the pilot's seats
@oliverdarcy And the pilot is a deranged Proud Boy who's simultaneously trying to fly 12 other planes...
@oliverdarcy Something is really wrong with this guy
@oliverdarcy Any chance someone could give a Mastodon tutorial to all the major news sources, explain hashtags etc? Oh and convince them to adopt the mastodon link button for their articles.
@oliverdarcy Just amazing that Elon thinks he can shift the blame off his odd little shoulders. #News #Twitter #Musk
@oliverdarcy Odd that he missed that during due diligence.
@oliverdarcy I'm wondering if Elon mentioned who pointed the plane toward the ground.
@oliverdarcy did he add “and I’m the pilot that got it into this mess.”?
@oliverdarcy seems like a “him problem”
@oliverdarcy Seems like he’s starting to give up.

@oliverdarcy He seems to have left out the part about the controls not working because he fired the pilots. And the flight attendants. And the “under the hood” folks that fill up the gas and bring on the in flight food and beverages. And then he started charging a lot for plane tickets.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@oliverdarcy And the pilot doesn't have a clue on what he's doing.
@oliverdarcy and the captain can’t decide if he wants the pasta or bang a stewardess
@oliverdarcy Love that he paid $44B to run the company into the ground. A very stable genius!
@oliverdarcy what a vote a confidence from a CEO! Definitely makes me want to go back #sarcasm
@oliverdarcy Elon doesn't know how to fly planes either. But he's seen pilots before so like, how hard could it be.
@oliverdarcy
He killed the engines, shot his pilot, and fired the cabin crew. Now, he is piloting the plane with a crowbar and a hammer. What did he expect would happen?
@oliverdarcy and weirdly, before you took over it was cruising comfortably at a safe altitude
@oliverdarcy He would know, he's the one who put it in a nosedive.
@oliverdarcy
Yeah, except that Musk is the guy who grabbed the controls, even though he doesn't know how to fly, and aimed the plane toward the ground.
@oliverdarcy Funny, because it was maintaining cruise altitude right up until he let that sink in...

@oliverdarcy Absolutely no self-awareness at all. Incredible.

Someone should ask why it is that is, because it was most certainly not that way before he saddled it with $13 billion in new debt.

@oliverdarcy Sounds like exactly the kind of company any entrepreneur would invest $44 Billion on.
@oliverdarcy “im so relatable haha I’m screwing up and proud teehee”
*blatantly promotes far right wing accounts and bans / silences the left while also banning anyone who criticizes also journos he doesn’t like*
@oliverdarcy That's what happens after Edgelord:
* pushed the plane's pitch forward
* maxxed the throttle
* ejected the crew
* slashed the control lines
* fired weapons at the engines from inside the cabin
* yelled into the loudspeakers "I'm HardCore!!"

@oliverdarcy

Did he mention that the only guy allowed in the cockpit is stoned?

@oliverdarcy What Musk meant to say was: "Since I bought (this company), this company is like, basically, you're in a plane that is headed toward the ground...."
@oliverdarcy
But then you realize it's just a simulation!
@oliverdarcy
Maybe Musk should pull UP on the yoke
What a joke.
