I'd love to see a list of mastodon instances that are explicitly welcoming to Black voices and POC voices, ideally ones run or moderated by POC.

White allies can spread the word about instances that are harmful to BIPOC, but personally I don't have suggestions for where people looking for a welcoming instance can go. All I can suggest is the #BlackFriday and #BlackJoy hashtags, which are great, but not the same as having an affirming local instance.

Does such a list exist? Boosts welcome.

I knew someone who worked in a Toronto ER who, quite morbidly, referred to motorcyle riders as "donor cycles" -- with unsettling frequency they'd get motorcycle crash victims, often young-ish, with fatal head traumas ... but every other organ in the body in basically pristine shape

the mods are actively trying to do as little about the problem as they can get away with, so silencing up to fediblock would also be in order.
