“Twitter just banned Mastodon's official Twitter account @joinmastodon with 174,000 followers, probably because it tweeted a link to @ElonJet's Mastodon account. Twitter is now censoring posting the link, but the user is @[email protected]”
I propose the #BirdsitePurge tag for this ongoing purge.
Each purgee will be entitled to use his/her private #ElonJet to fly to a #Mastodon or other #Fediverse instance before the jet gets recycled into 10000 bicycles. No birdsite baggage may be taken on the trip* - these are one-way private jets.
*Baggage exported before the purge should be safe. Do it now before you're purged...
“Did you know you can have your account suspended just for saying "@[email protected]"? Now that's what I call comedy!”
@micahflee
Sounds like you're in good company, journalists are being purged left and right.
Welcome to the sunny side of the street.
@micahflee Welcome to the club of several other journalists

@micahflee Oh the irony. He's for the Texas "free speech" law, which makes it illegal for him to ban you and anyone else.

Twitter is quickly becoming the Russia of the internet.
But I think it's going bankrupt, and Elon is just in it for the giggles now - while his investors lose billions.
Content warning: More birdsite suspensions: Elon is banning journalists
Not certain, but I am following the #JournalismPurge hashtag. I think @VPS_Reports started it. Don't take that as a fact but pretty sure.
