@lizawesome I remember burning up so much computer lab time my 1st year of uni learning to make gifs the old fashioned way for my Geocities site. (I was supposed to be doing basic Unix and atmospheric science stuff on that SGI machine)

@jlgatewood cuuuute! That was before I knew about college guys.

I was 13 or so on the family computer and it would tie up the phone line and go weeeeooooowaaaa, and I would write down every geocities website I liked in my paper notebook so I could always go back and look at them later. The way we played with cluttered and ugly was so inspiring - it taught me i could irritate my mother by wearing stripes and dots together.
