About 1-2 people out of dozens. #ElonMusk by FAR does not control the masses’ means of communication and that’s why I could fathom leaving that app so easily 😂

@kaydubatl @DamnCatOnMyDesk @taylorlorenz I actually don’t think Twitter is it, but I do think it’s the way many have been communicating about politics, elections, etc. While there are other sites, it may take awhile to figure out which ones are best for an individual and where the people they’ve been following are. Looking forward to continuing to connect here and see what it becomes.

I’m the odd person out in my space 😄 But yes I similarly look forward to seeing how Mastadon evolves! ☺️

I think it is important that reporters start to include their Mastodon addresses in their bylines instead or or in addition to their twitter accounts.

RRBLet's try to imagine advertisers this will repel, vs. advertisers it will attract. I do not think car companies (Except Tesla), aerospace companies (except SpaceX), streaming services (except porn), or anything aiming for families to advertise.
On the other hand, I could see Fox news, Truth Social, arms manufacturers, tobacco, gambling sites, going for it. Supplements, like Alex Jones will go there. Definitely, anyone regulated by the ATF would find it attractive.

Musk's thinking on Bias is not based on actual data, but on vibes. RightWingers got suspended for violating #Twitter's TOS, which prohibited certain things like dead naming. It was the right that violated that TOS, not the left.

Big accounts should start moving out. Yes, they lose millions of followers and have to start from 0 elsewhere, but that's better than going down with the dying platform.
