I'm gonna throw this out there because, if not Mastodon... then where?
Anyone still obsessed with any of the following:

@xaphania I used to LOVE programming when I was a kid but I never kept it up. Now I look at Python and I'm like aRHGHGHgg.
I can't believe I used to do 6502 assembler: https://bzangygroink.co.uk/archives/2005/02/23/6502-assembler-fun/
@2e0rtb You have no idea how happy that pic makes me! The first computer we had was an Apple IIe, I loved it! I remember it came with a game with a bunny and carrots? Or did I dream that?
I remember writing a rudimentary drum machine program on it just using ASCII and arrays to store 8 x 16 steps. The sounds were pokes! I wouldn't even know where to start tyring to that now in MacOS or Windows.
@Jyoti You didn't dream it, it's on the demo disk "Apple presents the Apple //e" which came with many new systems!
There's still plenty of us out there using an 8bit Apple, although these days a card with a USB flash drive can emulate four 32megabyte hard disks at once! Luxury!
@mjgardner That's soo cool! I have four ST(FM/E)s but no PETs or 64s or Amigas.
Have you seen this:
I bought one and have the ST core loaded.
It has the same great MIDI connections as the original ST so my dream is of a modern sequencer running on it.
If I had the coding chops, I'd write one.
@Jyoti seen the Commander X16? 8bitguy missed those days so much he designed a fresh build.
@bendingoutward I have, ta. I don't fuck with him because: https://www.reddit.com/r/8BitGuy/comments/j1h5bf/what_did_8bitguy_do/
But the system itself is obvs cool af!
@Jyoti here's my story about my PET.
Ooh, lovely, ta!
