Sab@fenriswitch @Mastodon es ist für die Administratoren des Server die Upgrades zu laufen - tu musst nichts tun. :)
moji@fenriswitch Die Angabe in deinem Screenshot verrät dir die aktuelle Version deiner Mastodoninstanz. Einfluss darauf hat nur dein Administrator, z.B. indem er das neue Release als Update einspielt. Du als Nutzer musst (kannst) also nichts tun. Der Webclient ist Teil der Serversoftware.

Harald now @ treehouse.systems@fenriswitch @Mastodon Wenn Deine Instanz, also in Deinem Fall mastodon.social, auf Mastodon 4.0 aktualisiert, dann ist auch Dein Web Client aktualisiert.
Wenn Du mehrere Accounts auf verschiedenen Instanzen hast, kommt es auf die jeweilige Version der Instanz an, auf der Du unterwegs bist.

Just checked on mastodon.social... v4.0.0rc1 still has the reported issue regarding non-scrollable left and right columns (if screen resolution isn't matching), so that users can't access the full page / all information.
Is this fixed with 4.0 RC3?

Masto.host@Nasher I only install stable release on Masto.host unless there is some problem.
Only when Mastodon make v4.0 a stable release will I start to test it and all going well 24 to 48 later, you will have it installed.
@mastohost I perfectly understand it's safer not to play with "testing" branches and release candidates in an infrastructure with the size of yours.

Cas@DoctorDNS @Mastodon As a user, you wouldn't have to do anything! You'd want to wait until the person who runs masto.ai updates the Mastodon server on their end. :) Then it goes to everyone!
