@nino @academicchatter I echo what has been said above - definitely worth trying. I went through the editorial board of one of the central journals of my field and wrote and short-listed those with research interests in line with mine and wrote an email introducing myself and describing potential common research avenues. I think I contacted 5 people, and everybody replied politely and willing to collaborate. I ended up as a postdoc with one of them, and that was a great experience!

1. Twitter being the first social network people have made their home, and;
2. How hard it is for them to leave Twitter.
Having been on numerous social platforms since the BBS’s of the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, through USENET and various online forums, leaving Twitter was easy. But it pains me to see how hard it is for so many others to leave, and I wonder why that is.
