I watched a Great Story!!

It has flaws however the overall quality of this gem has my eyes indeniably riveted to the screen.

Not many anime series have that quality.

So it's a wonderful YES for
'Zankyou no terror' aka 'Terror in Resonance'

We start this week in 2014 when Ishikawa voiced the teenage terrorist Nine in #zankyounoterror. A survivor of child experimentation, Nine's cold and collected personality hid a deep frustration at the state of society and a desire for something better to happen. Ishikawa is great in this role, able to keep an even temper in Nine and make clear the ebbs and changes that occur in his character throughout the series.

Finished "Terror in Resonance" and it shot straight past many of my favorite shows all the way into my top 5. I love the quiet scenes and the music in this show, one of the best being the ferris wheel scene. The show understands that not every emotional scene needs dialog, and instead gives you great song after great song. The characters also seem real, unlike most anime with the stupid anime tropes.

We're starting in 2014 with Tanezaki's role as Lisa in #zankyounoterror. A young girl from a broken home, Lisa quickly finds herself involved with a two man terrorist cell and becomes the unlikely emotional heart between the three of them. Even though she doesn't get too much development, Tanezaki is still able to give a powerful performance of someone who is trying to take command of their life for the first time.

#terrorinresonance

2014: #terrorinresonance, a dramatic and thoughtful thriller that takes an in-depth look at what it means to live in modernity.

#zankyounoterror

obejrzałem Zankyou no Terror.

2017 was more relaxing as Ishikawa voiced Takano in #tsurezurechildren. Navigating his feelings for classmate Chizuru and her lack of understanding, Takano provided some nice levity even as the audience is rooting for him.
Ishikawa got to be a daddy in 2021 as Tokishirou in #letsmakeamugtoo. The father of protagonist Himeno, Ishikawa plays Tokishirou as a father glad to see his daughter walking her own path while also navigating the long-felt grief over his deceased wife.
2021 also saw Ishikawa soaring towards the sky as Misato in #bakuten. Initially seeming like your stock rival character, Misato turns out to be an incredibly empathetic young man who uses gymnastics to deal with a past he may not want to face. Ishikawa's performance is great at being able to use Misato's stoic nature for both comedy and emotional effect.
We end this week in 2022 when Ishikawa became a bad guy (?) in #TheYakuzasGuideToBabysitting. Here, Ishikawa played Sugihara, a key member of the Sakuragi family who also participated in the series' quota of goofy blondes. Ishikawa's performance here is great at the sheer comedy that Sugihara has to go through while also demonstrating why people care about him.
#SeiyuuSaturday will be on hiatus for a few weeks; not sure yet when it'll be back.
@AWanderingSorcerer #LetsMakeAMugtoo was such as fun show. :)
@arcadiagt5 Yeah; I want to rewatch it one of these days.
