The Pokémon of the day is: Slakoth!

*In The Clear Moonlit Dusk* ended on an interesting note with the couple having what felt like their first real fight. They're still a bit weak on clearly communicating with one another about their concerns but with how they, well really Kohaku, made up at the end leaves hope they'll improve. This was an enjoyable frame for a seasonal romance show. #anime #InTheClearMoonlitDusk
On a more positive note, it does sell a little optimism on the idea of living in a smaller community. There were fun things mixed into here, like little festivals and a fair amount of hot springs. #anime #WashItAllAway
*Wash It All Away* wrapped up this week as well and it was ... fine? This is one of those shows that feels like it didn't try enough. It occasionally did a dive into a cleaning task, but they felt like blips in time. We get inklings that there's some amnesia element to Wakana's past - which isn't explored. And we even get a slight romance hint, which also goes nowhere. Feels like this could have benefitted from a primary focus. #anime #WashItAllAway
To give credit where credit is due, while the actual work element of the show was a little light, *The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife* was a solid show. Lots of characters introduced, enough backstory to give them all purpose and feeling, small and big arcs introduced and tied together, world given some roundness, and the romance arc between the primary pair was given some ebbs and flows as well, plus it looked good. Solid seasonal show. #anime #TheInvisibleManAndHisSoonToBeWife

Maori Mayazono, Your Lie In April

She's super talented, a good friend, and such a positive person, in spite of everything.

I'm looking forward to Sakuracon next week but kind of realizing I won't have a fully calm weekend until April 25th.  This weekend I'm meeting up with a group to prep for an event the weekend before Earth Day, and between then and now I'll likely spent some amount of weekend prepping for that. So it's gonna be a few weeks, especially depending on how squirrely my job decides to be.

Urushibara Ruka. Delicate as an orchid, fair as a cheery blossom, the personification of feminine grace, and a dude.

Tall as a willow, slender as a reed, a dude.

Radiant in shine vestments. Dude.

The sun dips low in a rosy sky, cicadas buzz, Ruka - is a dude.
