I'm old enough to remember that - by the great wisdom of the Omnissiah - it is technologically possible to let through requests to your top-up API even if the customer has an expired data plan.

Someone should dig up the STC templates for #Yettel so we can once again harness these marvels of knowledge...

@deianeira Are they retiring GSM or just 3G? Our piece of shit provider (name and shame time: #Yettel ) definitely painted the removal of 3G as if old devices would become unusable, but when pressed in person it turns out they *have to* keep pre-3G tech around for emergency services, so since I don't use mobile internet on my BlackBerry I don't have to care.
