"What do we mean by a #WellBeingEconomy? What solutions does it offer to help us address the interconnected social, political, economic and ecological challenges we face? Are there positive examples we can look to and learn from to fit the #Alberta context? This 1-hour #webinar will explore the concept of a well-being economy, provide examples of how it is being adopted in various jurisdictions, and offer some suggestions for how we can work together to advance a well-being economy in Alberta and #Canada that puts people and the planet first. We will also hold space for questions, discussion and brainstorming amongst webinar participants regarding how this concept can be advanced domestically."

The murder of Alex Pretti yesterday has affected me deeply, not only as an empathetic human but also as someone who has spent more than two decades attending protests, camera in hand. Whenever an observer or journalist is killed, it could be any of us, given the right set of circumstances. I wrote this poem as a way to digest my thoughts.

Last summer I was one of numerous peace activists interviewed by the John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights as part of a project seeking to document the stories of older activists (sigh, LOL) in Edmonton for a digital portal of videos and curriculum for schools. I attended the project's soft launch yesterday.

Today (September 21st) was the UN International Day of Peace. I had the privilege of celebrating along with these beautiful humans from the Edmonton Interfaith Centre for Education and Action and other folks who value a peace and disarmament.
