Clara Brugada posiciona a la capital del país como referente global de urbanismo

Durante la Asamblea de Mujeres, la mandataria capitalina defendió el urbanismo feminista y reivindicó el trabajo de cuidados realizado históricamente por las mujeres, al afirmar que “las mujeres sostienen el mundo”.

Clara Brugada Molina, jefe de gobierno de la ciudad de México, participó este domingo en el Foro Urbano Mundial (WUF, por sus siglas en inglés) celebrado en Bakú, Azerbaiyán, donde posicionó a la capital mexicana como una de las principales voces del municipalismo internacional y del urbanismo feminista, al llamar a construir ciudades más justas, cuidadoras, incluyentes y comprometidas con la paz, el derecho a la vivienda y la igualdad sustantiva.

Durante la inauguración conjunta de las Asambleas del WUF13, la mandataria capitalina destacó que este encuentro representa “el foro más importante del multilateralismo urbano global”, y defendió la necesidad de fortalecer una agenda internacional impulsada desde las ciudades para enfrentar los grandes desafíos contemporáneos.

“Necesitamos este multilateralismo abierto e integrador impulsado desde los gobiernos locales; desde las ciudades, para articular una nueva visión y acción urbana desde la transformación social, económica y ambiental”, expresó. –sn–
