#writerscoffeeclub: 12/10: When did you start reading? How did you take to it?

It took a lot to get me to reading.

Around 3-4th grade the only way I'd read was my parents bribing me with a GI Joe in exchange for a short book report. It worked. I had a formidable GI Joe force.

Then I fell off the wagon until high school. A friend loaned me ‘Elfstones of Shannara' and I read it in a weekend. I never stopped reading after that.
