When you're so used to writing F/F parings that when your MC's love interest is masculine aligned and uses he/him pronouns, you're always accidentally typing out her and then deleting it to put him.
It makes editing a lot longer than it needs to be lol
Funny writer thing about me: When I outline, it's basically me writing freeform, and fleshing out an idea or a character I had. No details. Putting down dialogue I know will slap, and thinking through logistics and the like. When I do that, I'm writing in present tense. Then when I go to actually write the story, I write it in past tense. Makes for a fun time because I end up mixing tenses. Fortunately, I don't mess up too much or I catch myself, but boy is it a weird ass quirk. That I will not change.
Inviting more whimsical and symbolic inspo into my thinking realms. 🗒
Me, editing: Let's go find a 1994 copy of Portishead's Dummy on vinyl.
Why is my brain like this? We have a task, sir. Can we get to it please?
(Yes, I found it on eBay, and placed a bid. We'll see if I get it on Tuesday. If not, pay an exorbitant price on Discogs.)
