Fly Orchid (Ophrys insectifera) at Morgan's Hill, Wiltshire. The flowers are usually pollinated by two species of solitary wasps (Argogorytes mystaceus and A. fargeii). The scent of the flower is similar to female wasp pheromones, and the male wasps attempt to mate with the flowers, causing the pollinia (sticky masses of pollen) to become stuck to the wasps, and transferred to the next flower.
