This incredibley neat haul of Amiga stuff came to us the other day ~ it was donated by a software developer and with it he had about 6 boxes of paperwork, CIB floppy disks and original software he programmed.
Some of the highlights were Animation Station, Railroad Tycoon, Shadowgate and Uninvited

Hirmu rasittava pikku homma, kun piti tsempata vakautta vapiseviin käsiin. Ja kohta pitää taas tsempata, että saa paristokotelon piuhat juotettua paljastuneisiin metalliliuskoihin (IC-piirin ylöspäin taitetut jalat, joihin kotelon sisään asennettu paristo on kytketty.)
Voi illemmalla kädet vatkata normaalia enemmän, kun niitä on nyt rasitettu poikkeavalla tavalla.
Sain nypättyä rtc-piirin vanhasta Pentium PCstä. Siitähän siis on sisäänrakennettu varmistusparisto mennyt tyhjäksi. Ja se paristo on kotelon sisällä kytketty noihin vihreällä pisteellä merkittyihin piirin jalkoihin. Nyt pitäisi tehdä noiden pisteiden kohdalle tehdä reiät, mistä piirin jalat saa näkyville, ja juottaa niihin jalkoihin johdon pätkät, uuden pariston liittämistä varten (siis nappiparistokotelon kytkemiseksi). #RetroPC

SenMystery-brand 8088 PC/XT clone I rescued from e-waste. No brand on it anywhere other than those freakin awesome “Heart My PC” badges, and I can’t find a single mention anywhere online about an all-blue PC/XT clone even existing.
It has “NAN TAN COMPUTER CO” and “NTC CO” under the keyboard, but they seem to just be a keyboard manufacturer and never made full PCs.
All the chips inside are super generic, and all are either made in Malaysia or Taiwan, so I’m assuming it’s some generic small-run clone from somewhere in Asia.

nizmowSo, #retropc and #3dfx folks might be able to help. I got some junk in an estate sale recently, and among it was the attached card (carefully labelled). It’s a Quantum3D Obsidian 50SB 4440, basically a Voodoo 1 with an extra TMU and three times the RAM. I posted it on a 3Dfx Facebook group and it seems very, or maybe extremely, rare. I want it to go to a collector but I’m not sure what it’s worth. Any help?

En próximos episodios proporcionaré material relacionado :P Status quo electrónico en casa El portátil que disponía era un MacBook Pro de 2011, ese portátil es un auténtico disparate de rendimiento, incluso a día de hoy vale para cualquier cosa. Ha recibido muchas actualizaciones por mi parte, discos duros SSD, memoria RAM, cambio de batería e incluso un reemplazo de teclado porque dejó de funcionar.
