New preprint! We trained a #deeplearning #ai system to make the same judgments about sounds as #birds do, to create a new tool for #birdsong similarity: https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2022.12.23.521425v1.full (The hard work here was the delicate and detailed bird #behaviour work, done by us all but led by Lies Zandberg and Rob Lachlan) #bioacoustics #vihar
