I found a rabbit hole called #WebSDR through an article about the work of PT de Boer, one of my university lecturers at @utwente, who has been infuential for its development.
After listening to people from Twente discussing a.o. driving and taxes on FM, I continued a podcast with Sid Sijbrandij, a #UTwente alum, about "agentic everything".
The contrast between "doing things for the love of it" (#RadioAmateurs -> WebSDR) and "I want results" (Sid) felt sharp.

The Cubicus building at the University of Twente. Part of the Brutalist architecture building boom on college campuses in the late '60s, this would have fit right in at my alma mater, the Paul Rudolph-designed University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

Got back Monday from getting one of my no-longer-kids settled in at her graduate degree program at University of Twente (and doing some sightseeing) in the Netherlands. Spent the first half of the trip in the on-campus hotel; this is the ceiling of my room there.
