We are long past the days of jack-of-all-trades setups being awkward to ride in both an urban & a cross-country setting. Recent refinements in design mean that fully-equipped #ebikes like the Merida eFloat EQ platform excel at just about everything. In this market, where budgets are tight, that feels important.

We feel the need to call out the behaviour of a brand here. Equipping seriously overpowered motors to bikes without disclaimers, then proceeding to tear about on public roads and countryside routes on the throttle?
This plays into the hands of those press that conflate electric bikes with motorcycles and is a large part of the reason why the masses are avoiding trying an electric bike.
