Avinox (aka DJI) veröffentlicht eine neue Version ihres Motors. Das Ding hat jetzt bis zu 150 Nm Drehmoment und 1500 W Leistung. Mir ist vollkommen unklar, wofür man das braucht, denn bei 25km/h ist es ja eh mit der Unterstützung vorbei. Ja, es gibt die Diskussion, dass man mit der neuen Power jetzt noch besser "Uphill" (also bergauf im steilen Gelände über Stufen) fahren kann, aber das ist m.E. nach ein doch eher seltener Anwendungsfall.

Zum Vergleich: Der "Standard" vor ca. 2 Jahren war 85 Nm Drehmoment und so 600W. Für mich persönlich ist das eigentlich schon drüber, aber ich habe auch nicht den Anspruch dauerhaft und an allen Anstiegen mit 25 km/h zu fahren.

Yesterday was glorious. Naturally, I did not ride, & beat myself up about it. Today for sure. Slept in, missed the train, again. Went to correct some internet BS—drafted, redrafted, deleted. JUST GO! 🤦

🤷 Back to the Oaks it was:

49.89km, 2hrs18 moving, down & back
Total ascent: 1141m
Max grade: 24%😱
Max HR: 162
Max jump: 0.62s
Battery left: 30%

The burn off only touched 1 side of 500m of track, just after the wheel. Even I can't moan about that 😂

Ooh, #Avinox (DJI) have again released ground-breaking new motors, & not only are *cheaper Amflow bikes available*, over 20 big brands are using them. Wow...

A death knell for small mfrs like my Rocky Mountain's Dyname, maybe even giants such as Shimano & err... Giant? Bosch & Specialized are probably OK.

Lighter, more powerful, more featured, made by the leaders in electric motor development? Prices from current fancy low end to mid-range? 🤔

I won't rush, but am *very* tempted.
