AVINOX put out a bullish statement on advancing e-bike power today, largely dismissing concerns from some corners of the industry (including, to be transparent, ours at Cycling Electric) as being overly concerned about the impact on the future of the industry.

What's your view? Do you want higher power peaks or something else entirely from manufacturers?

@cyclingelectric

yes, more is more πŸ’ͺ🏽😜✌️

@cyclingelectric I'm having issues with transmission wear already with Shimano's E8000...
@cyclingelectric I would want lighter motors and batteries, barely visible and very silent. I don't care if I reach the speed limit earlier or with even less human effort and I'm not interested in power capacity that far exceeds my own endurance.
@cyclingelectric
I want unified battery chargers. Make it USB-C.
@cyclingelectric having recently tested an Avinox-powered bike, I can say that it’s not a mountain bike anymore. It’s an electric motorcycle. The slightest push on the pedal is enough to get the engine going in Turbo mode, no effort whatsoever required anymore. You can climb impossible tracks without breaking a sweat.

@cyclingelectric

I agree with Avinox.

The industry needs to stop attacking itself, & instead of amplifying the BS, attack media lies associating legal emtbs with illegal motorcycles. They are not the same.
