In the 1970s and 1980s Class #CC6500 locos used to work SNCF‘s most prestigious trains on DC lines. They finished their careers on regional duties.

Law school fall commencement today for UIllinois Chicago. William Daley (from Clinton and Obama administrations) is an alum and gave the commencement speech. Hit all the right notes—hope, kindness, compassion, integrity—and had a funny analogy about an Irish wake. Fun to watch the joy of the graduates (included B-school and others). Love that I can attend entirely with public transit.
