Zum heutigen #DID meine 3 #Favoriten Apps nach dem früheren Wechsel von iOS auf #GrapheneOS:
- #Ente Fotos ersetzt Apple Fotos, mit vielen Features, die Apple nicht hat - aktuell an Platz 1. @ente

- #Mapy Navigation ersetzt Apple Navi. Rasend schnell und sehr zuverlässig. Ich bin begeistert! Aktuell an Platz 2.

- #AntennaPod für Podcasts - mit dieser APP verbringe ich vermutlich, neben #Mastodon / #Pachli die meiste #Qualitätszeit.

Heute am #DiDay anlässlich des Osterbesuchs meiner Mutter gezeigt, wie der Foto-Upload nach Ente funktioniert. Der Umstieg ist mühsam, das Ziel aber fest im Blick. iCloud muss weg.

#Fediverse-Client/App #Pachli

Die App Pachli für #Android entstand 2023 auf Basis von #Tusky in Version 23 und nutzt die #Mastodon-#Client-#API, um sich mit Konten auf kompatiblen Instanzen zu verbinden.

Das Projekt wurde von Nik Clayton gestartet, einem Entwickler, der zuvor zu Tusky 22.0 und 23.0 beigetragen hatte.

Pachli ist ein Kofferwort abgeleitet aus "Pach" (von "#Pachyderm", vgl. Dickhäuter bzw. #Pachydermata) und der schweizerdeutschen Verkleinerungsform bzw. Endung "li" (weil Nik Clayton dort lebt).

Da Pachlis Entwicklung auf Tusky basiert, weist Pachli viele Funktionen auf, unterstützt etwa auch vorgeplante Beiträge und bietet die Unterstützung für mehrere Konten. Auch die Pflege des eigenen Profils ist direkt über Pachli möglich.

Naturgemäß ähnelt Pachli dem Klassiker Tusky, weicht aber bereits in einigen Punkten ab, etwa bei der Funktion zum permanenten Nachladen der Zeitleisten im Hintergrund.

This is about two different topics.

The display issue in #Pachli, what should have been fixed by Nik / Pachli team.

And supporting quote posts in #Mammuthus. Here i'm still working on it (following "FEP-044f: Consent-respecting quote posts"). Currently Mammuthus should be able to handle incoming notes, that include a quoted note. And it should be also possible to quote (newer) posts originated from a Mammuthus instance. Allowing Mammuthus to create a post with a quote is still work in progress, together with #Mastodon compatible client #API endpoints. And i assume, still a lot of testing and quality assurance... ;-)

If you're using #Pachli Current and use the on-device #translation feature, would you mind taking a look at "Preferences > Manage language packs"?

You shouldn't notice any difference from previous behaviour. If you do notice a difference please let me know.

To explain - at #Google there are two ways to do things. The way that works but is deprecated, and the way that doesn't work yet.

Is it just #Pachli or me: loading the main feed for my account loads toots from several days ago instead of showing me up-to-date posts?

I'm really very tired of seeing toots from bots about links posted days ago (which I have already met/read/consumed)

#Pachli c’est pas mal du tout. Il va peut être remplacer tusky.
Dommage que le bouton "home" ne fasse pas remonter réellement en haut de la timeline mais au dernier pouet chargé. Obligé de le solliciter plusieurs pour arrivé tout en haut de mon fil.
