Latest in building a better drawing tablet. I've used a Raspberry Pi 4 just to see that the screen and touch panel actually works. And it does! Next will be to test some leaner alternative to Raspberry Pi OS desktop and see if they work too. And then see if I can get the same working on a OrangePi Zero.

What's the least memory hogging Desktop enviroment you can install under Debian/Ubuntu/Raspberry Pi OS? I only need to run a browser, but just doing that through X11 seems really hard, having to configure everything manually and getting the touch panel to actually work. #linux #ubuntu #desktop #raspberrypi #Ubuntu_Touch #touch_screen

Anyone know of a 20 inch touch screen kit suitable for DIY? LCD screen, touch panel and driver board with ability to connect to RaspberryPi or similar (OrangePi).

Project is to see if I can create a better drawing pad than reMarkable when it comes to:
* Drawing non-jagged lines
* Getting SVG/vector graphics to the rest of my workflow/applications
* Endless canvas instead of limited to A4 or similar.
* Possibility to cooperate with others

I find touch screen kits up to 15.6 inch, but after that it's only 27 inch or s, more meant for office applications with not so great resolution.

Link to the 15.6 inch that I have ordered.
