I like the new #reMarkable software update.
It seems like they've had quite a few features to push, because they've released a new device.
Not sure what the new device brings, that makes it compelling over reMarkable2.
Update: reMarkable2 is being discontinued and the new device is the replacement.
@marcus I'd love to have such a device. But it need to be open sourced on the software side as a bare minimum.
Otherwise, enshittification is doomed to happen.
I did that mistake with #Kobo devices. They are luckily partly hackable, so I hope we will see what happens here with more alternative firmware (not just the "add-on" on top of the native Kobo OS).
But as far as I've seen with #remarkable is that these devices are fare more closed on all ends.
Preferably, I want a hackable device which can fully support #E2EE and be audited with having a sane implementation.

I just learned that a runner in the London Marathon - in fact, the first TWO runners - both broke the illusive 2 hour mark for the Marathon.
