@doctator Oh, and it's the last free version. I run mine under the #Hercules emulator, in a turn-key setup called #TK5 :-)
SkXIV shows off something it can do that the other Taco Konstructors can't.

I see no hashtags for #TK5 #HerculesTK5 so here goes.

I've been playing with TK5 (Turnkey Hercules/MVS 3.8j) and I was pleasantly surprised at performance on my laptop-well over 200 mips showing if I give it work to do--much faster than the first (1988) #mainframe I used :-)

I'm impressed at the graphics so far, I've been able to watch videos and naturally I tested #hercules for #ibm 370 #mvs a la #tk5 and the improvement over the #Pi3B alone had me order an #OrangePi #orange_pi_5 / #Pi5 16GB

Most of my daily software is available on ARM, except for official #GoogleChrome and #VMWare Horizon- I haven't started with x86 emulation/conversion but the #Pi5 I have coming is 2.5GHz, a massive improvement over the 1.5GHz #Pi4B and the 1.2GHz #Pi3B so I'll happily wait!

While #SDF #Plan9 Bootcamp has been quiet, I pulled out my #MVS #tk4- host and replaced it with #tk5 !

Following the videos of #Moshix on #YouTube I've enabled a few other upgrades!

• Main/work DASDs are now on #ramdisk for faster access with hourly sync to NV storage
#Networking via #NJE38 to RELAY with other systems
• Upgraded #COBOL and other compilers from Jay Mosley's #SYSCPK
• mfprint ( #Go socket printer) needed a few code updates but is dumping to NFS to make PDFs easier to grab now
