I recreated Yen, the yen, with it's new money themed graphics, and SAVED, & after a bit of coding, he can push the 50yen coin into a slot, and it turns green! :D Saving..
I once tried to make a sound based game. I did code and play test it a little, but after QBasic, I didn't use a language with such an easy way to do sound..
But it was a submarine hunting game. The player had to find the sub based on sonar pings. Quite simple in QB! #tic80 #gamedev
Found the #Python in #tic80 🕶️ Apparently, there is a FORTH for it too, but it's not included in the standard build .
I could turn my newest graphing calculator into an RPN calculator, by running the translation of Embed Forth on it.🤔 On one hand, RPN makes more sense, on the other, Python is more natural to me.
Playing with TIC-80. I like making games more than playing them. I don't think I'm particularly good at either, but It's just somehow, enting code, and debugging are more interesting than playing itself, even though that can be part of debugging.
So, I played around with the default game. Added a pet velvet worm, changed the character sprite to a smiling cookie. (Suposed to be a potato...)
I could probably remake some of my QBasic games in this.🤔 #TIC80
I will be programming TIC80 for the FieldFX Mixed Jam on twitch tonight (Monday) at 21:00 CET! Come and enjoy the music, watch fun visualizers, see me get tripped up by the bespoke TIC80 vim implementation!

Wyrdway v0.0.2 alpha is live.
This is a smaller controls/UI/feedback update:
- new intro/setup flow
- gamepad prompts + rumble/haptics + saved options
- clearer finish and road FX
Play / download: https://etomarat.itch.io/wyrdway
If you try it, I’d love to know:
how do the controls and rumble feel now?
Have a water-balloon fight with three of your friends: Don't Get Wet is a messy multiplayer experience created in #tic80

Watching another @vencabot #letsplay of TIC-80. It's Balmung, which is quite like Zelda on the NES.
The gold cartridge. Not the one with Error.🤔 My brother & I looked at a Nintendo Power advertisement with a magnifying glass to see the map Anyway, it's like that, but so much more.

Finally got some free time, and spent like 4 hours doing nothing but trying to analyze the mess that is the code for Bicho, and trying to learn Vim keybindings in TIC-80 because for some reason it doesn't recognize the arrow keys on my wireless keyboard in the editors.
I miss my laptop :(
