My #tic80 game is up to 15 levels.🕶️ It takes about 7 minutes to play them all.

I'm tempted to SM2 it, and change all the sprites to something else. Yen is nostalgic to me, but even the kid doesn't seem to grok the concept.🤔

Maybe, a character that pushes trash into cans. Or a bee pushing pollen to flowers.. a gamer putting cartridges into consoles. Keys into locks? Those don't make any more sense than a yen symbol pushing 50 yen coins into slots.🤔 #gamedev

I recreated Yen, the yen, with it's new money themed graphics, and SAVED, & after a bit of coding, he can push the 50yen coin into a slot, and it turns green! :D Saving..

I once tried to make a sound based game. I did code and play test it a little, but after QBasic, I didn't use a language with such an easy way to do sound..

But it was a submarine hunting game. The player had to find the sub based on sonar pings. Quite simple in QB! #tic80 #gamedev

Found the #Python in #tic80 🕶️ Apparently, there is a FORTH for it too, but it's not included in the standard build .

I could turn my newest graphing calculator into an RPN calculator, by running the translation of Embed Forth on it.🤔 On one hand, RPN makes more sense, on the other, Python is more natural to me.

#tic80 website might be mad at me.. Maybe you're only allowed so many crashes a day? Fine. I'll do stuff in #Python Tkinter!

Playing with TIC-80. I like making games more than playing them. I don't think I'm particularly good at either, but It's just somehow, enting code, and debugging are more interesting than playing itself, even though that can be part of debugging.

So, I played around with the default game. Added a pet velvet worm, changed the character sprite to a smiling cookie. (Suposed to be a potato...)

I could probably remake some of my QBasic games in this.🤔 #TIC80

Finally got some free time, and spent like 4 hours doing nothing but trying to analyze the mess that is the code for Bicho, and trying to learn Vim keybindings in TIC-80 because for some reason it doesn't recognize the arrow keys on my wireless keyboard in the editors.

I miss my laptop :(
