zeratul2099Þingvellir (Thingvellir) national park in the south west of Iceland, not far from Reykjavík. The park lies on the boundaries between the North American and the Eurasian Tectonic Plates. On this site the annual icelandic parliament took place from the year 930 for over 800 years.
