Minnit: For a stronger NATO, we need an autonomous European defense.

According to the president of the Med-Or Foundation, “an autonomous European defense is not in contradiction with NATO. In fact, it makes it stronger. The Atlantic Alliance’s mission has not only not been exhausted, but has been deeply relaunched. However, it is necessary to dialogue with the Global South.”

Domani: Potremo ancora volare?

Can we still fly? The biofuel solution is ambiguous (and capitalist).

No energy source is at zero impact, but biofuels have significant drawbacks: they are derived from vegetable oils and are produced mainly in the Global South, particularly Africa and East Asia, often occupying agricultural land that could and should be used to feed local populations.

@benlockwood Sadly, doc, the 'dumbing-down' of the more wealthy, powerful democracies, like America, have left adaptation at an all-time low.

This is why I suggest to those with children, that they seriously consider #EmergingEconomies in #DevelopingCountries, like #TheGlobalSouth involved with #TheBeltAndRoadInitiative. Ironically it's now 'Communist' China that's leading the way toward #sustainability.

@deskJet95 Younger generations are placing more and more energy into targeting #TheGlobalSouth in #EmergingEconomies, among #DevelopingCountries, that place safer, cleaner #BaseloadEnergy into their infrastructure. China is leading the way with tech like #TMSR they've been having success with, while continuing to build relationships in The Global South.
U.N. Report Finds Israel’s Assault on Gaza “Consistent with Genocide,” Including Starvation Campaign

A U.N. special committee has found Israel’s actions in Gaza since October 2023 are “consistent with genocide,” including using starvation as a weapon of war and recklessly inflicting civilian casualties. The report, released today, comes one day after a Human Rights Watch report found Israel has committed war crimes and crimes against humanity through its mass forced displacement of civilians in Gaza. HRW is calling on nations to adopt sanctions and halt weapons sales to Israel. But Israel’s indiscriminate slaughter continues, with at least five Palestinians killed today in central Gaza’s al-Maghazi refugee camp. Elsewhere, at least two people were killed by an Israeli strike on a tent encampment for displaced Palestinians near Nuseirat. Meanwhile, the U.N.’s humanitarian affairs office warned Palestinian children are at high risk of injury or death from unexploded ordnance left after more than 13 months of Israeli attacks. Among the victims is severely wounded 8-year-old Mohammed Qarmash. This is his mother. Amal Al-Wadiya: “No one was there to tell him that these are explosives that the Israelis throw. The children play with them, and they blow up. What is happening to us is not fair. His father died at the Karni border, and his body stayed there. What is happening to us is not fair, really.”
