IDF intelligence analyst who failed to sound alarm on Oct. 7 dies
Brig. Gen. (res.) Amit Saar, the head of the Military Intelligence Directorate's Research Division on October 7, has passed away at 47 after a battle with brain cancer. Saar was known for his 2023 warnings regarding regional instability.

“I saw that a lot of the #Sydney #runclubs talked about the attack on the #Australian way of life but no one was mentioning too much about the #Jewish community,” Mr Benjamin, a dedicated #runner, said.
“And then I saw that #NiceJewishRunners who are based on the other side of the world posted a really nice solidarity message with the Sydney Jewish community.”
After getting in touch with club founder Ezra Feig Mr Benjamin was able to organise the Sydney’s chapter’s first fun in just four days.
The emphasis of Nice Jewish Runners is social.
“You are meant to run at a pace that you can have a chat and meet someone new,” Mr Benjamin said.
“We finished Friday in a very Jewish manner and got people coffee and bagels.”
Mr Feig, who founded Nice Jewish Runners in the wake of the 2023 #October7 #Hamas assault on #Israel, said the #Bondi attack had a terrible familiarity.
“In the Jewish world we immediately knew what it was,” he said."
