"The widespread prescription of psychotropic drugs—antidepressants, stimulants for ADHD, anti-anxiety medications, and antipsychotics—poses a massive new threat to public health. Every day, one in five Americans, along with millions of children, are prescribed psychotropic drugs, often for life.

While these psychotropic drugs may treat certain symptoms, especially in the short term, the public remains unaware of the dangerous side effects, which are themselves labeled as new “disorders,” thereby triggering a cascade of prescriptions for other medications. Furthermore, these drugs have an unfortunate tendency to create physical dependence and lead to debilitating withdrawal symptoms and long-term neurological damage.
