My relationship w/Odoo is tumultuous. He's needy & there's times when we have problems & can't find the right words to articulate the problem. I find plenty of bad relationship advice online from other broken-hearted, frustrated users. Sometimes there are success stories and I'm jealous. We can be at odds for days and days, and it's utter hell. And then finally I find the right thing to ask & he opens up & we fall in love again. Unfortunately, no makeup sex.

I still think so and will say it again:

Most phone apps are replacable with pen and paper. Rest of the apps rarely really need internet acces.

If you develop something that can be done using notebook (the analog kind) then dont. Focus on something that makes sense digitally.

If you develop something that uses the net ask why it needs it?

...also when did we start to call programs apps?

Checking a few tickets for an Owncast repository for fixes to specific issues, I ran into this: “Too many requests.”

I now need to wait a few minutes to an hour to finish my review. Or I could log in (assuming I have an account there). 🙃

I love when I go to add a PDF as an attachment to an email and look to see how big it is before attaching via Apple’s file chooser—instead of file size—it tells me it was an email from so-and-so.

Thanks, Apple. File size is not a super relevant attribute to show to users, apparently.
