U of A med school receives grant to study virtual reality TBI field test for combat scenarios

The University of Arizona's College of Medicine receives a $1.5 million grant from the Department of Defense to study virtual reality field assessments for traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), a common injury for military personnel. Researchers will use deep learning neural networks and virtual reality simulations to assess neurocognitive deficits. This technology can be tailored for different situations in remote areas and combat scenarios.

I can't help but be angry. People have been recommending that I get a #neuropsych evaluation done. From what I can tell, it basically only benefits me in regard to stupid-ass #SSA. As someone who's been told to eat shit repeatedly over my lifetime, & has gone through the pain of basically doing my own #rehab for 2 #TBIs, I'm livid. Ah, NOW people "care". Right. The benefit isn't nothing, but it rings incredibly hollow. You can be dying and SSA will insist all the docs are wrong. 🙄 #NEISvoid

@StarDust949 Studying languages on Duolingo has actually helped me in my #LongCovid brain fog, and helped my daughter in her #TBIs as well. Free to try, might be a thought? I resisted for a bit, thinking it was too hard, I couldn't do it. Now I'm working on Spanish, French, Russian, German and Korean. No joke, it helps, and it's a fun and productive activity for family (or solo) rest time.

Michael Alan Stollery (Michael Stollaire), CEO and founder of the California-based Titanium Blockchain Infrastructure Services (TBIS), plead guilty for his role in a scheme that defrauded investors of $21 million through the sale of a useless token that "did not have any functionality", the DOJ says.

The scheme involved fake client testimonials and claiming false business relationships to create the appearance of legitimacy.
