Hmm I wonder if I had waited 5min, if I could have done the run in the dry, or is the old saying still correct? Arrived at a resovoir while it was bucketing down, put both my and the mutts rain gear on, while we listen to the rain hammering on HQ's sunroof. Opened the door, braced ourselves to become soaked to the bone. Stepped outside, and not a drop for the whole run.

Fun PCT run over the hill to the next canyon and back. Scouting for my trail maintenance crew. We need condition reports for project permit applications (water damage from storms, not pictured).

Trail Gorillas handle the bottom 500 miles of PCT. We’re the Angeles National Forest chapter (Section D and half E, ~Wrightwood to Hikertown). Recommend trail runners find their local volunteer group and at minimum scout for them, it’s very satisfying.
