Just when you thought 'digital photo frame' meant simple elegance, Engadget drops a truth bomb: most are terrible, riddled with bad software and sneaky subscriptions. If you're eyeing one for 2025, read this first.
What's the most surprisingly over-engineered 'simple' tech you've encountered? https://www.engadget.com/home/smart-home/best-digital-frame-120046051.html?src=rss #TechReview #DigitalTech #Gadgets #SubscriptionHell #SmartHome
I should also add that I cancelled Amazon Prime and completely closed the account.
I've been trimming subscriptions recently.
Disney cancelled (Just before the Kimmel stuff)
Paramount cancelled (Until a new Star Trek season starts)
XBox Game Pass Ultimate because WTF were they thinking with the 50% increase?!... reduced to Essentials.
Apple One reduced to Apple Music and iCloud Family only
Fortnite Crew cancelled
I imagine the next company subscription I cancel will be the next one to do something stupid ๐
In the future, even survival is subscription-based.

Somebody thought this was a great idea. Hope they don't introduce subscriptions for blinkers or steering wheel hydraulics ๐
