Good news: A major infill development for La Crosse is back on track.

Bad news: It's totally car-brained, with an emphasis on parking, no obvious safe route to the strip mall across the highway, and no built-in transit stop (in spite of four bus routes currently serving the neighborhood).

While stopping for a pedestrian in the crosswalk of a #stroad in our town in #rural #westernwashington, we got rear-ended.

The damage is enough that #insurance is going to total the car. It's already listed (by doing a VIN search) as totaled.

I am super sad. I know it's an old car - 2007 - & not valuable (200k miles). But it's in great shape, reliable, and shouldn't have to be scrapped. Ecologically, why does it have to be this way? Ughhhhhhhh
