And here is the rest of the images - the set I excluded from the first post.
Do astrophotography, they said.
It’ll be fun, they said.
Take pretty photos of comets, they said.
And once again #comet12p is #starlinked #spamlink #astrophotography #astrodon
@ben Yep, noté, j’y reviendrai. En attendant, ça y est : #starlinked
This composition that I made last year, titled "Starlinked" (*), became surprisingly popular in Twitter back then. However, it's getting "likes" and retweets again. I wonder why... As I'm about to leave Twitter (still many important contacts there...), here's a reminder of my "appreciation" for this person and for his lack of care and interest in the #NightSky and #astronomy.
(*) The hashtag #Starlinked is not mine, but I can't find the original author... Maybe he's deleted his account...?
If you weren't aware, astronomers don't have a great relationship with Musk. A big issue for us is the Starlink satellites, which due to their low altitude and high number, already regularly interfere with ground-based observations. #starlinked on Twitter has endless examples.
We get told it's the "price of progress" and that SpaceX will make space telescopes cheap anyway. But that's BS: development of advanced space tech is much more expensive than the launch.
