Very interesting paper on binary/triple star systems
1. A notable difference in binary fractions between B and Be stars at small separations was observed, suggesting that interactions in binary or triple star systems, possibly involving mass transfer, are integral in the formation of Be stars.
2. This study, the largest of its kind, used advanced astrometric methods to detect binary systems and determined the sensitivity ranges for these methods.
3. The results indicate a significant lack of Be binaries compared to B stars at certain separations, supporting the hypothesis that binary interactions, often in more complex triple systems, play a crucial role in generating the rapid rotation characteristic of Be stars.

NASA's Lucy spacecraft recently visited the asteroid Dinkinesh and discovered not only that it has a satellite, but that said satellite is a contact binary! That's two asteroids that bumped into each other and stuck. Check out the photo, it's fabulous:
