I have a door!

At long last I've found a door in a skip that I can take to my allotment to complete the shed project.
I'm doubtful if it'll fit in the car, so it might become a stable door type door.
All I need now are the hinges.

Just pulled this out of a skip round the corner from me. All this would have gone to landfill. What a waste. Already planning the greenhouse staging I will make with this. #allotment #SkipDiving #recycling #landfill

So anxiously waiting for bailiffs is overt in the zeitgeist...
But so is spending £100 on noise-cancelling headphones?

I just found a pair in the bin!

Sony WH-CH700N headphones review

Sony's lightweight headphones boast some heavyweight features

Phase II of the back yard project completed - a lovely bench and a planter for the back wall. The planter is currently planted with some nasturtiums I had left over and some annuals I got from a supermarket. I’ll probably plant it with something more permanent, maybe a pollinator-friendly geranium or something similar. Again, both of these items are made from scrap wood I got out of skips. Total cost about £9 for screws, the red stain I already had. #Gardening #SkipDiving #Recycling #woodworking
Made a pair of planters for the back yard. Planted with sweet peas, nasturtiums and pot marigolds. All the wood came out of skips, so the total cost was £24 - £9 for the screws, £11 for the compost and £4 for the gravel (which will hopefully deter cats from crapping in them). The red stain I already had. It’s amazing what you can do with the stuff people throw away. #SkipDiving #ReduceReuseRecycle #Scrap #Gardening #pollinators
One last #Library toot before bed. Libraries chuck out lots of perfectly good books. Consider a little light #SkipDiving where it is legal and safe to do so.
